Home Again!
I'm finally home from a week on the road. I was anxious to see how the trellis looked against the shed. I think I need to add more leaves. It kind of blends into the shed walls. The picture is poor, didn't see to have enough light. What's your thoughts, more leaves, or not?
Another big thank you to Lisa for allowing me to spend the weekend with her last week. I would not have been able to complete this trellis without the time we got to spend together. I will share with you in a future posting the wonderful gifts Lisa gave me during my visit.
Again thanks for all your comments and welcome to the new followers, hope you enjoy my miniature ramblings!
It's a beautiful Victorian Day holiday weekend here in Canada, so we have three days to relax before returning to work. The weather has been wonderful and even though I would love to be in my workroom, the weather is calling for me to weed the real flower beds and not the miniature flower beds. We get so few warm days here, we have to take advantage of them.
Still have to finish the copper on the other side of the roof and antique the roof. Hopefully I can fit this in between gardening outside!
Until the next time...
Wanda
Besos.
Hi Wanda, I think you have done a great job on the leaves. I am struggling with a similar project. I think your rose would look more natural if the flowers were not so evenly spaced. I have been staring at the rose on the fence and I think it has more flowers in the upper on third. It is just how they grow.
ReplyDeleteI will watch with interest to see what you do. Any chance of buds in a darker colour.
Regards janine
I Love the rose trellis! I have yet to find the Time and Courage to start a Rose kit I bought a while ago! I think some of the leaves could be darker... although as with all plants the real ones vary a lot from one type to another! but they tend to be a darker green on the top side, and paler on the underside. And the new leaves of some types are quite tinged with red!
ReplyDeleteI am out in my garden today to prune the dead canes from my RL roses.... winter was hard on them this year!
Hi Wanda! Your rose trellis is Very Pretty and the color of the roses are so delicate and make for a cool contrast against the shed. I know that it is not the most fun thing in the world to make the foliage but that is what will make your climber look more lush! I hate making the leaves for mini plants because there are always way more of them to make than that of the flowers. Nevertheless, I Applaud what you have accomplished thus far.
